Immediate Offshore Immigration Deterrent Proposal

The Issue

In light of escalating Channel crossings and the limitations of current deterrent strategies,  A rapidly deployable offshore immigration processing  model is proposed. Offering a 90% reduction in overall migrant support costs to the UK taxpayer. Fully researched by maritime consultancy and complies with humanitarian responsibilities.

Who is affected? UK taxpayer communities, maritime responders, and law enforcement are under increasing pressure from irregular channel crossings. Migrants are exposed to dangerous conditions, while local infrastructure struggles to cope with rising arrivals. The absence of a fast, enforceable deterrent has led to overcrowding, public frustration, and diminished confidence in border control.

What is at stake? Without immediate intervention, smuggling networks will continue to exploit maritime gaps, placing lives at risk and undermining the rule of law. A structured offshore processing model within UK territorial and port limits offers a lawful, humane, and operationally viable solution. It avoids the reputational and legal risks of mass inland detention and restores control over maritime borders.

Why is now the time to act? This proposal can be piloted within months using existing UK maritime infrastructure. It does not rely on future elections or legislative overhaul. With Channel traffic rising and no effective deterrent in place, delay only deepens the crisis. The UK has a unique opportunity to act decisively — to protect lives, enforce maritime law, and restore public confidence. The proposal blueprint, fully costed at between £25M and £35M and is available on request. - Do Share this petition to see common sense in action asap.
