We, people from around the world, demand that FIFA immediately remove Morocco as a host country of the 2030 FIFA World Cup in response to reports of the killing and cruel treatment of animals in connection with preparations for the tournament.
Animals are reportedly being killed as part of efforts to “clean up” cities before the World Cup.
This must stop.
We believe that the reported killing and mistreatment of animals violates fundamental principles of animal welfare and should have serious consequences for any country seeking to host an international event of this magnitude.
OUR DEMAND IS CLEAR:
REMOVE MOROCCO IMMEDIATELY FROM THE 2030 FIFA WORLD CUP.
We call on FIFA to:
- Immediately remove Morocco as a host country of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
- Investigate the reported killing and mistreatment of animals.
- Demand an immediate end to all cruel methods of animal population control.
- Require humane, science-based alternatives for managing stray and community animals.
- Establish strict and enforceable animal-welfare requirements for every FIFA World Cup host country.
NO WORLD CUP SHOULD COME AT THE COST OF ANIMAL LIVES.
STOP THE KILLINGS.
PROTECT THE ANIMALS.
