The daily messages of suffering like my dad arrive daily

It was sad reading what happened to your dear Father in his last days, hours with you. It was very similar to what my mother experienced. She was dying and we had been called to the hospital, she had been assigned a student nurse who later it transpired had no idea how to use a morphine pump. I told her that my mother was showing signs of distress because her injection was wearing out. one and a half hours later my mother was writhing around in absolute pain and still no pump. My husband had to tell the nurse how to use the pump. The pump was too late and simply couldn't offer my mother any pain relief, she died thrashing about and screaming in pain. My poor dear mother, that she had to die like that. I truly believe that end of life care has such a low priority within nursing care which is such a disgrace.
