Nine years ago, supermarket chain Iceland made a promise to stop keeping hens in cruel, cramped cages by the end of 2025.

Then, in a shocking reversal, Iceland bosses decided to drop that commitment altogether, abandoning thousands of hens to a life of suffering in cages where they only have the space of an A4 sheet of paper to themselves.

In response, we launched a major campaign, and this petition amassed over 70,000 signatures from animal lovers like you. In a huge victory, Iceland was forced to u-turn and re-instate its commitment, now for 2027.

Now we need your help to ensure Iceland bosses follow through on their promise. Let’s show them that we’re watching very closely. Will you join me in demanding that Iceland sticks to its new commitment and stops using cruel cages, for good?
