With the closure of Boots Pharmacy in Portishead the access to healthcare in the area is getting worse. The closure will mean people in the area will not be able to go to a pharmacy in the evening and weekends in town. 

SIGN THIS PETITION to show support for another Pharmacy to open.

Pharmacies are businesses so they need to know that we value the current ones and opening a new one will be profitable as that they have the support of the local people.

We can ask for a new Pharmacy to be open at weekends and later at night so that people can get the help they need when they need it.

What can you do to support a local pharmacy:

• be patient if the pharmacy is busy (closures mean that the pharmacies that are left are getting busier and might not have the team in place to cope yet)
• buy something there (buying something from a pharmacy shows support and they often get more profit than they would from an NHS script)
• ask your Health Centre if your problem could be solved by a Pharmacy First referral (a new service offered by Pharmacists could help save a GP appointment and provide income to the pharmacy)
• show your support on social media with a #saveourpharmacies or sign the national petition https://saveourpharmacies.co.uk/
