Dear Mayor Chow and Councillor Bravo 

We stand with and are community members of the South JT GROWs (which stands for South Junction Triangle Growing Responsibly, Organically & Well), which seeks to:

• Provide a voice for the residents and businesses of SouthJTGROWS
• Offer insight into the impact of development on our neighbourhood
• Hold all levels of government responsible for transparent, community-based decision-making
• Foster affordable, sustainable, and responsible housing development for all who wish to live, work, and play in the South Junction Triangle
• Protect our neighbours and residents from displacement
• Ensure that transit, infrastructure, and community services are adequate for increased density
• Reduce the climate impact of over-densification in the Davenport area.

There are a number of pressing concerns that we have with regard to the developments in the South Junction Triangle, and we request the following action from your office: 

1. Stop the demo-viction of the businesses and at the heritage property at 221 Sterling Road. Instead, investigate the possibility of municipal or provincial purchase of this community art space. To see the artistic magic of the lofts, please view this documentary by one of the artists
2. Follow the council endorsed Bloor Street: Perth to St. Helen’s Area Study and complete the study through a set of new community meetings.
3. Conduct a fulsome traffic study of the area between Lansdowne, Dupont, Dundas West, and College. 
   
   

We hope this petition reinforces that there are many diverse voices within the South JT GROWs group, and we all care very much about our community; we want our collective voices to be heard.
