As a citizen of Gaza, from a land that no longer resembles itself, I address you, Mr. Donald Trump and Mr. Vladimir Putin.

I congratulate you on your historic meeting in Alaska, on the reconciliation the world is talking about today. You are now under the spotlight, and all eyes are following your steps and your words.

But here in Gaza, the lights have been out for months, and words have been drowned out by the sound of explosions.

I beg you — with whatever strength is left in my voice — to stop this war now, today, in this very moment. You have the power to do it. With one decision, with one word, you could save thousands of children from death and restore hope to millions of families.

Here in Gaza, schools are no longer places of learning, but temporary shelters before they become graves. Hospitals can no longer treat the wounded. Families sleep on the streets or in torn tents, waiting for the unknown.

Every day, a mother buries her child, a father lays his family to rest, a grandfather holds his grandchild for the last time.

I ask you to imagine — just for a moment — that these children are your children or grandchildren.

Imagine your little daughter shivering from the cold in a torn tent.

Imagine your grandson crying out in pain with no doctor and no medicine.

Imagine your son buried beneath the rubble.

Would you allow this war to continue for even one more minute?

Mr. Trump, Mr. Putin, you have the strength, the authority, and the influence.

Let your meeting in Alaska be a turning point in history — the moment when the two most powerful men in the world came together to end a war that has destroyed everything and claimed countless innocent lives.

Do not let history record that you met while Gaza was being annihilated, and you stayed silent.

From the heart of Gaza’s destruction, I call upon you:

Help us… not for politics, but for humanity.

Help us… because the children of Gaza deserve life just like the children of the rest of the world.

Help us… because history will not forgive silence.
