I have the right to life, I have the right to peace!

Le problème

Each individual is entitled to the basic right to live peacefully and authentically. Africa has endured immense suffering due to the perceived authority granted to colonizers, while black communities have resigned themselves to their circumstances. Nations under domination driven by selfish desires for supremacy from a select few are now demanding their freedom. While destruction may appear effortless, the task of rebuilding is certainly not insurmountable. My appeal extends beyond Haiti to all nations plagued by conflict, where men, women, and children face the dread of a future stained with bloodshed. Let us put an end to armed conflicts! I assert my right to live! Happiness is a fundamental entitlement.

Is this privilege solely reserved for an exclusive few? What justifies any sense of superiority over others? Ultimately, we are all human beings; why not extend a helping hand to those in need? Was it out of adherence to a political ethics code that prohibits territorial violations? Where was this ethical stance when colonizers encroached upon our lands? Why invoke it only now? An ethical framework that promotes assistance but conveniently fades when confronted with invasion?

Despite our current actions, the past remains unchangeable; yet, we have the power to shape the future.

Therefore, I implore you: do not turn a blind eye to the suffering of oppressed populations.
