What We Mean by "Ambulatory Category"

What do we mean by "ambulatory category"? An ambulatory para-athlete has a permanent orthopedic, neuromuscular, visual or other physical disability, but is still able to compete while standing. This can include things like hemiplegia or amputation, amongst other physical disabilities, that impede the athlete's ability to compete on a level playing field with other standing athletes.
