We're hoping to change the MHSAA's rules regarding adaptive athletes by using their own internal process. Here's how it would go down:

Step #1: A MHSAA member school submits a proposal for a rule change to the committee in charge of that particular sport (in our case, the Track & Field Committee).
Step #2: If the committee recommends adoption of the proposal, it moves on to the 19-member Representative Council for a vote.
Step #3: After approval by the Representative Council, the new rule becomes part of the Participating Schools Tournament Information.
Step #4: Local school boards approve the membership resolution, with the new rule included.
