In the 1960s, Star Trek was threatened with cancellation after just two seasons. It was saved by an intensive letter-writing campaign by fans, which saw the show renewed for a third season. Ultimately, the show produced one of the biggest sci-fi franchises in the world, and has inspired the new kid on the block: The Orville. 

The Orville has run for three seasons so far, and particularly the third season has produced some of the finest science-fiction television in years. With no promises or even hints that the show will be renewed for a fourth season, all of us who sign this petition will carry the spirit of those Star Trek fans - many of us now who also love The Orville! - to petition Hulu to renew the show for a fourth season. 

We hope that through this petition, Hulu will see just how beloved a show The Orville is, and that will add weight to the calls to renew the show and keep it going.
