**Attention Bradford Nation**

Important Announcement:  The School Board Committee voted against the recommendation of the ad-hoc Naming Committee - whom members were hand appointed by the Superintendent, to lead the research for the stadiums new name.  After not one, but two weighted votes of the Naming Committee they overwhelmingly recommended: Mary D. Bradford Stadium

However, the five (5) of the seven (7) board members in attendance, voted against the committee’s recommendation with a 3 -2 vote for Olen Arrington Stadium

The reaction from the Bradford Stadium’s Facebook Page followers prompted me to create this petition.  We want the School Board to answer to us – we voted this board in to office - to speak on our behalf, to be our voice and representation at meetings and when making decisions - to act in our best interest.  Yes, we stand loud & clear in voicing our decision as a community, that as a majority we chose Mary D. Bradford Stadium.  We DO NOT protest Olen Arrington (or Joseph Andrea) as deserving candidates.  We protest the School Board’s decision to ignore the voice of the people who elected them into office to advocate on our behalf.  It is a reported repeated behavior that the boards decisions don’t align with the community or the committee’s formed to educate them – and it’s our responsibility to speak up if we want to be heard.   If you agree and want the School Board’s attention and a chance to correct the stadium name to Mary D.
