In light of the IPCC climate report issued earlier in October 2018 it is morally irresponsible and reckless to continue investing in the fossil fuel industry which has been scientifically proven to be responsible for a large proportion of green house gas emissions around the world. 

We are now in a state of climate chaos and have been given a very limited time frame of 12 years to reduce emissions by 45% to limit the global impact of climate change.

The big 5 UK banks Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC, RBS/NatWest and Santander invest in excess of of £66bn combined in the fossil fuel industry and are acting as enablers of the destruction of the environment.

By demanding these banks to immediately cease further investment in fossil fuel companies, recall all existing loans to these companies immediately and to divert these funds to green technology and renewable energy companies instead, which are proven to provide higher returns on investments they can make a significant positive impact on the global climate emergency now!
