The Save Leather Lane team would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our campaign to Save Ilona.
Saturday’s celebration was a meaningful homage to Ilona and we believe that with her registration on the Woodland Trust Ancient Tree Inventory and the impact of the support that we have now publicly demonstrated from local residents, national and local wildlife organisations, local government and parish councillors as well as our MP Sarah Green, it will be very difficult for HS2 to ignore our demands.
However, we will continue to keep the pressure on HS2 and their subcontractors, EKFB to make the right decision to avoid her needless felling.
