The video attached contains footage of bat activity on Leather Lane at night. This vital bat corridor must be saved as seven different species reside there including the endangered Barbastelle bat. We have support from some of the UK’s leading bat experts including Anna Berthinussen who states in her supporting statement for our campaign letter to DEFRA: “Any disruption or fragmentation of this corridor would not only result in the direct loss of valuable bat habitat but may also cut off access to other important habitats with significant adverse effects on local bat populations.”
