Good evening lovely people,

Following from the last update I would, once again, like to thank everyone who has signed this petition, supported the campaign and raised awareness for the cause so far. As previously mentioned, because of the media attention received from our efforts, organisations such as the RSPB, RSPCA and other non-governmental conservation institutions have joined Lawyers for Nature and Buxton Solicitors to take action against HS2. As a result so far, felling has stopped whilst investigations into a possible hibernating bat roost takes place.*

However, this is not the time to stop putting pressure on the government to review the needless felling of trees on Leather Lane along with countless other locations under threat from HS2.

Now that is has been made public that HS2 have made many inexcusable mistakes and criminal actions in their rush to fell oaks such as those on Leather Lane, now is the time to press forward with this petition and let Lawyers for Nature and Buxton Solicitors support us in a legal case. These same solicitors are also working on a legal battle to protect Jones Hill Wood and the devastation of the Roald Dahl Woods (also within the Chiltern Hills).

Therefore, I am asking all of you amazing supporters to help us to raise money to support Lawyers for Nature and Buxton Solicitors in their continued work to protect all woodland sites surrounding the HS2 project; making them accountable for the criminal destruction of wildlife sustained by the majestic Leather Lane Oaks and all other trees they plan to fell.
Attached is the link to the 'gofundme' page which can be used to fundraise for this legal battle. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
