This has been a tremendous achievement for us. 500 new signatures in just over three days. Before then this petition had just under 20 signatures due to a lack of promotion. Most of those signatures came from my friends who were determined to see to it that I could one day shoot for my own country as a proud archer of the Commonwealth Nations. I have to thank Bow International for publicising it, as it gave a massive boost to the awareness of this cause. Championship archers from across the Commonwealth have also pledged their support and have shared it on social media. It is due to your support that we can make archery a core sport in the Commonwealth Games and further raise the awareness of a sport of skill, determination, precision, talent, passion and adventure. No other sport can be defined in that manner quite like archery. I can see from some of the comments of the supporters that some of the them have got connections to the Commonwealth Games (like myself as I was a Clyde-Sider at Glasgow 2014), some of you come from archery clubs across the world and some of you are just ordinary archery enthusiasts who do it out of passion. That's great, I am always on the lookout for supporters from all walks of life and all of them are highly valued. Now where do we go from here? Well I am working on using my new found support to go places with this petition and raise the profile of archery across the world. Legend Archery have offered me a conditional sponsorship scheme by blogging about archery for them, so watch out for that. What I need for my supporters to do is pass this around and get as many people to sign it as you can. Aim high, aim for gold!
