Students have been burdened with increasingly large amounts of work. The official HCPSS guidelines are 3-4 hours per course per week. But often the work assigned adds up to much more than the recommended amount. Have you been sitting at your desk all day long without any time to do anything else? Have you been working longer than your parents? You’re not alone. Many other students have been reporting extremely large workloads. With 85% saying they get too much work. Our County has started placing a higher value on student's mental health, and dedicated the whole first week to learn about it. However, the large workload assigned to students stands in contrast to this commitment to student self-care. If you want our workload reduced, please sign to let the administration know.
