Los Angeles and New York switch to warm white LED lighting

Many cities are now moving toward the warm white street lights we seek including large cities such as Los Angeles and New York. The Wall Street Journal said that New York is using warm LEDs for the remaining 116,000 lights of its installation. Los Angeles after several years has abandoned earlier models and moved instead to warmer lighting which reduces wattage and saves energy and money compared to their previous lighting. All models are the warm white we have asked for, the color of a warm white light bulb. Several cities are now opting to install only those colors including Tucson, Gloucester, MA, and Scarsdale, NY. I have relayed this information to City Council. Reaction is still mixed from very strong support for our position to those who don't see a problem. CenterPoint Energy is testing warmer lighting...the question is how soon can it come on line.
