Progress report, good news!

The City is testing a new streetlight by Cree which was developed as an answer to persistent complaints concerning LED streetlights. This light is better shielded and comes in a warm white color that is now far more efficient than earlier versions. We are also asking them to include lower wattages since the better shielding and higher efficiency should make a less intense light more effective. This will also save money and energy in the long run. The City also is looking at using warm white LED colors in any future decorative street lighting. The new Cree RSW street light was recently featured in a number of articles on the internet in early March. Thanks for your continued support!
