I was at the City Council Public Comment session today and brought the printout of the petition comments as the handout. Jack Christie spoke very forcefully this time afterward, strongly urging his colleagues to understand the importance of the issue and asking them to listen to what I had to say. Afterward, Gary Norman of Public Works approached me to introduce himself and asked for a copy of the petition comments for discussion with the person in charge of lighting. I sent a follow up letter to reinforce what I had said including a link to the petition page and its supporting information. Will keep you posted. I want to let this run a little longer to see how the Council reacts. Please keep those letters coming. Just today, I heard from someone in Bellaire who wants to spread the word there. But for now, our concerns have made it more directly to the Public Works department. Thanks!
