At the last census, 4 years ago, there were 20 thousand people in Queensland experiencing homelessness.

In Logan, there are dozens of non-government agencies tasked with helping people off the streets or friend's couches.

There is one local charity that does things differently, and without any help from the government, to help people leave homelessness behind.

Terri Begley spoke with its founder and a woman it's helping.
