UPDATE: the Pour Out Pepsi campaign is not over. The JHU Dining department still HAS NOT signed a new exclusivity contract – this is our last opportunity to act!

WHAT YOU CAN DO: We are writing another letter urging the university NOT to sign a new exclusivity contract with PepsiCo and we want YOUR words to be included. Please fill out this form to share your thoughts on an exclusive contract which we'll incorporate into the letter: https://forms.gle/sRc1tbeDF9PymaAw7

For context, Hopkins has had an exclusivity contract with PepsiCo for multiple years. This contract expired this past June and was up for renewal. Thinking it would not be feasible to completely end the exclusivity contract, students submitted a letter to the Dining Office with demands to reshape what a renewed contract would look like.
Since then, the Dining office has tried negotiating with PepsiCo to meet our demands, but months after the new contract was supposed to be signed, PepsiCo has yet to send a final updated contract. We see this as a window opportunity to demand not a change in the contract terms, but an end to exclusive contracts altogether.

We believe Johns Hopkins, a leader in public health and institution that has committed to sustainability, should not be investing in PepsiCo and giving them exclusive rights to market and sell their beverages on campus. We must make clear to the Dining department that we want an end to this contract NOW.
