Friends: 

We came together to save the selling of a city park, of our city's heritage and an international symbol of freedom from slavery & oppression. 

We came together to prove that neighbors and Nashville residents matter more than the downtown culture of backroom deals.

In that fight we met the true leaders of our city.

We saw John Cooper stand up to the former Mayor. When all at-large members of the council banded together - then Vice-Mayor Briley was silent. He was no where to be found in this list of 5,000 names and in the dozens of groups that contacted us to be a part of this effort.

Watch this 60 second spot featuring Dr. Learotha Williams and Nashville freedom rider Kwame Lillard who says, "John is not the kind of guy who will bend and break on you when things get rough." 

I couldn't agree more.
