Everyone,
Thank you, truly, for standing with us the past few months. Your signatures, voices, and support matter deeply.
At first, it felt like progress. That is no longer the case.
What’s happening now:
In June 2025, the Air Force opened up TERA exclusively to transgender service members with 15–18 years of service (previously, it was only offered to those with 18+ years).
For many, this was their last chance at retirement — after years of exclusion, uncertainty, and hardship.
Many applied. Many were approved. Retirement orders were cut. Ceremonies planned. Out-processing begun. Lives set in motion.
This was supposed to be a path to retirement for transgender service members who had already served under the burden of the military's transgender ban.
Then, on August 4th, the Air Force quietly rescinded the program — canceling already-approved retirements and reclassifying them as voluntary separations, with no retirement benefits at all.
This isn’t just unfair. It’s disrespectful, devastating, and wrong.
The Air Force promised transgender service members a dignified path to retirement.
Now that path has been ripped away — after members made plans, uprooted their lives, and believed they could finally leave with honor.
We see it. We know what’s happening. And we will not stay silent.
🚨 What You Can Do Right Now:
1. Email your Congressional representative. Demand an investigation into the cancellation of these retirements.
2. File an IG complaint. Even if this doesn’t impact you directly — stand with those it does.
3. If anything, PLEASE SHARE THIS PETITION. Make sure this isn't buried. Spread the truth.
With urgency and solidarity,
Ursula T.
