In just ONE day, over 1,000 people signed our petition to honor the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion with a Forever Stamp — thank you SO much! This momentum shows just how powerful honoring true history can be.

Meanwhile, recognition is growing in really visible ways:

Post Offices renamed in honor:
• Raleigh, NC – The Brentwood Road Post Office is now the Millie Dunn Veasey Post Office, celebrating Staff Sergeant Veasey.
• Buffalo, NY – The Central Park Post Office is now the Indiana Hunt-Martin Post Office Building, honoring Indiana Hunt-Martin.
These tangible honors—post offices, renamed buildings—help tell the Six Triple Eight’s story in every letter sent, every stamp bought.

What’s next:
We’re aiming for 17,000 signatures to represent the over 17 million pieces of mail the Six Triple Eight processed. Their motto—“No Mail, Low Morale”—wasn’t just about sorting mail, it was about keeping hope alive.

✉️ Will you help us get there? Share this update + the graphic, ask your networks to sign, post it, repost it — every signature and share counts.
