

In the shortest possible span of nearly 36 hrs since its launch, more than 500 consumers across the state of Maharashtra have endorsed the petition launched to demand either repeal or significant amendment in the Maharashtra Apartment Ownership Act, 1970.
Several of the petitioners are coming forward of their stories of the harrasement at the hands of builders and promoters of housing schemes across the state of Maharashtra.
This petition is coming to an age, similar to the #MeToo movement in the Real Estate arena in the state of Maharashtra. The leaders who conceptualized the petition, and leading the fights against the builders/promoters strongly believe that, "Cleansing drive in the real estate field that has started from Maharashtra will soon spread like a wildfire across the country".
