This is an update to the multiple transport projects which are making headlines. We are seeing multiple plans being shared, but the actual construction progress is still awaited. MMRDA officials visited Mira Road and Bhayandar and are promising an early construction to the Dahisar-Mira Bhayandar Metro. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is currently being prepared by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for MMRDA. The financial, environment and other approvals may also be required from Centre/State Govt. MMRDA additional metropolitan commissioner Pravin Darade said, "The Metro corridor will run 9km into Mira-Bhayander. We plan a station for every km, which means there will be nine." Darade said, "We have interoperability with Metro VII, which run along the WEH. Some services can operate from Dahisar and others from Mira-Bhayander." As per WR's ticket sale data, Bhayander has an originating passenger count of 1.73 lakh per day and Mira Road 1.11 lakh. We are also seeing progress on other projects for better transport connectivity like new AC BEST bus - AC–A70 spl (Mantralaya to Mira Road station) and AC-AA71 (Mahim to Mira Road station east) Also, Dahisar(W)-Bhayandar(W) link road, Coastal Road extension to Mira Bhayandar, etc. are in progress.
