The Cabinet Secretariat ID No.701/1/2/2013-CA V dated 11.08.2014 has sent the representation on subject dated 12.06.2014 formation of the National Men’s Commission, forwarded to the Deptt. of Social Justice and Empowerment The Ministry, however, RTI reply dated 18/01/2017 in MOSJE/R/2016/51057/8 furnished that Efforts have been made to trace the representation dated 12.06.2014 which might have been submitted to this Ministry for the formation of the National Men’s Commission by Shri Amitabh Thakur I.P.S. However, the representation being two years old, could not be traced. It is requested that a copy of the representation may be forwarded to this Ministry The Ministry in its Reply dated 03/05/2017 in MOSJE/R/2017/50255 transferred the request to the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law which too transferred the request on 22/05/2017, Law commission of India In reply to the above, fresh representation on formation of a National Men’S Rights Commission, signed & supported by 1270 individuals across the country, send to your ministry as well as to the Law Ministry The law commission acknowledged in its reply that letter dated 02.04.2017 with attachments (from Sh. Yogesh Mahajan) was received in the Law Commission of India.
