Petition to Hon'ble PM / FM: Pleading for approval in favour of Bank Retirees/Pensioners the (1) Periodical updation of pension, (2) 100% DA Nuetralisation, (3) Improvement in Family pension, (4) 2nd Pension Option to left over VRS, CRS & Dismissed Bank employees at par with Retirees of Central Government under CCS Rules, 1972. Similar to the plight & ordeal of Bank Retirees pleading for Updation of Pension etc., LIC Retired Officers Association has filed WP No 4894 of 2016 before the High Court of Delhi against LIC of India for Pension updation. The Hon'ble Justice was very critical & expressed his anguish on the approach of LIC management about its bad treatment of it's own ex-employees and asked the concerned parties to file arguments, written submissions on 21.02.2017. The LIC Retired Officers Association has reportedly submitted an exhaustive reply comparing descrmination meted out to LIC Retirees under LIC Pension Regulations, though their regulations are same under CCS Rules, 1972. They have also pointed out how selectively & conveniently, pensioners of central government have been allowed with such benefits & LIC pensioners are deprived of the same. Lawful justification also sumbitted citing various Court orders in the matter by the LIC Retirees. The judgment in this case is reserved. Let us hope for favourable orders with specific direction that it will be applicable to similar cases as directed by Supreme Court to help all Retirees in general. In this regard, Readers are also requested to refer interim orders passed by the Hon'ble SC on 31.03.2016 in Civil Appeal No's.8959-8962 of 2013 with No's.6995, 9223 of 2013, 9409-9410 of 2013 in the similar pension updation case between LIC of India Vs. Krishna Murarilal Asthana & another, directing transfer of all similar cases pending in other high courts to High Court of Delhi to take a final decision and also ordered that no other courts shall proceed with the similar matters, as it is desirable that a single judgment is passed so that the validity of the same can be adjudged. The Hon'ble SC in the above interim orders also expressed that it doesnot require Soloman's wisdom to state that an interim order is an interim order & doesnot have any impact at the time of final verdict, especially in such a situation and, therefore directed that it shall be applicable to the similarly placed persons.THE FINAL JUDGEMENT IS AWAITED. Now, this is an appeal to AIBEA, AIBOA, AIBOC, UFBU, AIBREF, CBPRO, AIBPRA etc, to take a leaf out of the above petitions & study how nicely contested, drafted final written statement & submitted by LIC Retired Officers Association to the court. Better late than never. At least now our above Bank employees' affliates should get united & should show wisdom and take remedial measures sincerely & honestly to rectify the damage done earlier by either initiating legal proceedings organisationally as has been done by LIC Retired Officers Association as above or through effective negotiations in the upcoming XI BPS to protect the interest of serving & Retirees. Representatives!!!, why there has been no reaction, response to the Retirees present state of plight & ordeal? Atleast, now Please respond having acknowledged the IBAs invitation for wage & Pension revision and assure that Pensioners grievances will be effectively dealt with sincerely & Retirees interest shall be protected atleast this time. Bank Retirees wants to know the measures the Representatives are going to initiate. The original petition concerning Bank Retirees for Updation of Pension & other demands was initiated by TEAM: Jayaprakash, Jayaraman, Jayaram, HSN Murthy, HS Vasudeva Rao & Vijayalakshmi on 12.12.2016 followed by repeated reminders and Lawful reasoning citing many Court orders in similar cases was also submitted on 06.04.2017 in justification of our demands on http://pgportal.gov.in. But unfortunately, such grievances were directed back to IBA for consideration instead of refering to any other independent & unbiased commission. IBA being party to earlier settlements with UFBU has expectedly disposed of the case citing the matter is subjudice without quoting any particular case coming in their way & thus natural justice has been denied to Bank Retirees. However, in order to continue our ongoing struggle till we get natural justice, more & more individual grievances need to be submitted on http://pgportal.gov.in to exert pressure on decision makers. Simultaneously, to strengthen our ongoing campaign for the common cause of Bank Retirees, all other friends, well wishers, serving Employees & general public are requested to login www.Change.Org. in search, type Jayaprakash to find original Petition and cast your valuable support. So far we could garner support from 5950 people and our sincere thanks to one & all. WE DEMAND INDEPENDENT BANK PAY & PENSION COMMISSION
