Petition to PM/FM: As there has been disparity & discrimination in pension between Bank Retirees & Govt retirees, the TEAM Jayaprakash. N, Jayaraman.N, Jayaram.V, HSN Murthy, HS Vasudeva Rao, Vijayalakshmi have submitted petition for approval of: 1) Perodical updation of pension, 2) 100% DA Neatralisation & 3) Improvement in Family Pension to all Bank Retirees / Pensioners. Our petition dated 12.12.2016 was repeatedly submitted on online portal to our Hon'ble PM registered as No. PMOPG/E/2016/0582101 dated 15.12.2016, DPG/B/2017/80056 on 06.01.2017, PMOPG/E/2017/0123160 dated 3rd March 2017, DOPPW/E/2017/03836 dated 14.3.2017, PMOPG/E/2017/0163262 dated 23.03.2017, PMOPG/E/2017/0171644 dated 26.03.2017, DOPPW/E/2017/05209 dated 06.04.2017, PMOPG/E/2017/0200371 dated 07.04.2017 seeking redressal from Hon'ble PM /FM. Why Bank Retirees Pension has not been revised periodically for last three decades? How retirees of central/state govt employees, Armed forces under OROP, MLAs/MPs served for just 5 years are accorded revision in their pension in every Pay Commission under budgetory allocation which is burden on exchequer? Updation of pension to Bank Retirees is from their own accumulated and growing pension Corpus fund without burden on exchequer. Even Supreme Court delivered various judgments that pension updation is a responsibility of the govt and it is not a bounty and is inseperable on every pay revision and Bank Retirees are entitled for updation of pension on every revision of pay scales. Unneccessary legal proceedings should not be perpetuated. You are the light to our hopes that our issue will be personally attended to render justice before the retirees leave this world.Current Status:CASE CLOSED Your Feedback:Poor Date of Action: 09 Apr 2017 Details: Cases of Bank Retirees are already sub-judice in Honble Supreme Court High Court Pension Scheme in Banks is funded Scheme and additional liabilities if any, towards Pension is to be allocated from the profit of the Bank based on the actuarial valuation done on yearly basis. Pension in the banks is paid as per the above mentioned Pension Regulations. IBA is an independent and voluntary organization and holds discussions/negotiations with apex level Workmen Unions/Officers Associations of the banks regarding industry level issues raised by them. These issues are discussed by IBA on the basis of specific mandate given by the member banks to IBA in this regard. As IBA does not have mandate from the banks to discuss these issues on their behalf, no further action is being taken by IBA in this regard." ========================== The above grievances is the result of prejudicial approach always on the part of one of the main negotiating constituents i.e. the IBA towards Bank employees/retirees in each of the periodical wage/pension settlement. When such is the case, unfortunately, the decision makers have directed /referred our grievances back to the same negotiating agency IBA which has been a party to previous settlements for redressal instead of entrusting to unbiased independent commission for fair trial & to award natural justice. One cannot expect fair deal & natural justice from IBA being already a party to the earlier wage/pension settlement. Dear Bank Retirees/Pensioners, let us not get disappointed by the above unjustified action taken by the same negotiating team. Let us continue our struggle till we succeed. In order to exert pressure on the decision makers, Please continue to lodge as many individual grievances as possible to PM/FM in http://pgportal.gov.in on the lines of original Petition dated 12.12.2016 along with detailed & lawful justification submitted by us on 06.04.2017.
