Yes, the funding freeze is finally over, the trouble is that the increase is only enough to melt away some of the edges! RNZ will receive an extra 11.4 million over four years for technology, this is an extra 2.8 million per year. That is way below the level needed to adequately fund the organisation. As Gareth Hughes MP has pointed out, this is far less than the profit that the government made selling RNZ's Auckland studios earlier this year. Will this be enough to prevent further asset sales?
