Hi Guys, After I presented the petition at council I was told the officers (civil servants) were looking into my individual circumstances on the suitability of the emergency housing i am living in. Yesterday they concluded the property is suitable, which is wrong. Check out my video and written response to this, I intend to fight this all the way. Its become personal, Last December I complained against the housing options manager who reviewed my case, Brighton and Hove City Council Acknowledged this complaint yet allowed him to decide the place is suitable for me. My recent blog post reveals more scandal going on right now in Brighton and Hove City Council. We were successful last time, but we need to push harder, tomorrow I will outline a new petition which will start to get more people involved in politics, plans for senior civil servants to reveal their financial details to the city, and those who refuse should be asked to resign. I want people to be involved in the complaint process, are officers complaints really being looked into? are the cities councillors scrutinising enough. We need to go further and faster to get this city back from the private sector who are in this for profit. If you are or know anyone in emergency housing in Brighton get in touch, i am in the process of setting up a recognised residents group to unite voices. Email me: Daniel@survivorblog.co.uk Last week someone committed suicide in the place i am staying, we are allowed no visitors, have poor facilities and are left penniless after service charges and storage costs. We are vulnerable and left to die. This has to stop!
