Permit me to open your eyes to the Knock-on Effect of this extortion and exorbitant fee charged by the Home Office to regularise immigrants stay in this country.
As a result of the hefty fee, Parents have had to work always to increase income to put food on the table, roof over the children’s head and pay off 2.5 years circles of loans paid to the Home Office.
From experience of many parents I have spoken to, they’ve shared that their need to walk round the clock to make more money has resulted into them not being around for their children who then either are Left to themselves in many cases without parental guidance! They are either influenced by others or get sucked into the dark world of internet or gang. Some children are so affected that they are constantly in one trouble or another with the school.
This situation has further stresses and depresses parents who are at a loss and constantly at logger head with their children. Whilst some children blame parents for not being around, parents gets angry with the children for being ungrateful for the sacrifices they’re putting in to offer them a decent and secured future.
The extension of which makes some of these children to end up in the system. A system that tags parents as unfit to care for their children. All because they need to work hard to pay the fee of ‘Indefinite Leave to Remain’ in this country!
How is that fair! With one hand our government is putting pressure on the parents and with the other they punish them for not being there for their children. For me, that’s a recipe for mental health illness! The Home Office must do better!
Please get on board of this and push the agenda of the petition - not only to stop the extortion, but also call for refund to those they’ve stolen from! If the Europeans are paying less than £300, why should the BAME community be paying in the region of £7-10,000 for ILR?
