Let Dr. Shashi Awai stay in the U.K.

Dr. Shashi Awai appeared on the BBC Surrey Breakfast show on 19th September, to tell the story around her experience of the catastrophic and damaging immigration system in this country.
Dr. Awai has worked at East Surrey Hospital in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department for a number of years and lives in Redhill. Despite having lived in the U.K. for 16 years, she was told recently that she faces removal after her application to remain indefinitely was refused.
The ENT department has been unable to fill Shashi's role, whilst she waits anxiously at home nearby in Redhill not knowing whether the situation will change to allow her to stay in the country. Shashi faces being sent back to Nepal, where she was born, but has not lived for 26 years.
As an enthusiastic supporter of the universal free healthcare provided by the NHS, Shashi became an integral part of the East Surrey Hospital ENT team and has the full support of her former colleagues and the local Labour Party. Her MP, Crispin Blunt, must place more pressure on the Home Office in order to protect Shashi and the individuals who have been under her care.
