Dear Supporters,
We’ve been really hard at work getting Halyna’s Law heard all around the nation. California Senator, Dave Cortese, has proposed a draft of a bill which will ban live ammunition and guns on production sets in the state of California. He will present this to the Senate on January 3rd.
I have reached out to the Governors of New Mexico, New York, Texas, and Georgia. I have a call scheduled with the Governor of New Mexico later this week, and am currently in the process of scheduling a call with New York State Governor. George and Texas has remained silent (I wonder why…).
I’ve been in touch with notable AFI Alumni who I am kindly asking to lend their voice to Halyna’s Law and help me pressure Hollywood into banning live ammunition and real firearms on film and television production sets.
The people who I am corresponding to are: David Lynch, Terrence Malick, Darren Aronofsky, Andrea Arnold, Rachel Morrison, Robert Richardson, Wally Pfister, Robert Elswit, Janusz Kaminski, Matthew Libatique, Paul Schrader.
Petition on change.org that is calling for Haya’s Law has surpassed 100,000 signatures. I am currently trying to get Netflix on board this law and have reached out to Ted Sarandos to discuss.
I’m working non-stop (12 hour days) trying to get this law passed in each and every state. Since Hollywood has remained silent, I’m going to trap them with legislation.
THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN. WE DEMAND CHANGE!
Kindest regards,
Bandar
