If legal avenues fail and our elected officials don’t vote to save our public oceanfront land, then residents will need a public referendum to override their decision. This is the last resort, but it will take a lot of outreach in every single district in Hollywood to get the required number of signatures on official petitions. We think that it will require at least 2500 registered voters in each of the 6 Hollywood districts to sign the official petition which has not yet been drafted.
If you’re not registered to vote as a Hollywood resident, please REGISTER TO VOTE at https://www.browardsoe.org/Register-to-Vote/Voter-Registration-Form

Ask the city commission to oppose violating these deed restrictions and violating the public trust. They should never build a private condominium on this land. A private condo tower is not public. Consider sending a simple email stating, "I am a Hollywood resident (it helps to state your address) and I oppose a private condo tower on our public oceanfront land at 1301 S. Ocean Drive." City commission: 954.921.3321
If you want public improvements to the property or community center, but want them to find a way to do it without allowing a 30 story private condo to be built on public land, please tell them. Against private skyscrapers on the beach? Tell them that, too. Ask them their opinion about skyscrapers on the beach.

What could be more scary than our beautiful beach being taken over by monster towers and dark shadows?
Let’s have some fun and raise awareness for this spooky proposal!
Don’t forget a reusable water bottle!
