IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT RESIDENTS SHOW UP TO CITY HALL FOR CITIZEN COMMENTS ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20 AT 5 PM. CITY HALL, 2ND FLOOR. You will have up to 3 minutes to speak to the mayor and commissioners. You do not have to use the entire 3 minutes, but it's important that you show up and tell them that you oppose.
Even if you dislike public speaking, we need as many residents as possible to show up and state their opposition.
It is very important that residents contact their city commission to ask them to oppose violating these deed restrictions and violating the public trust. They should never build a private condominium on this land. A private condo tower is not public. You could just send a simple email stating, "I am a Hollywood resident (it helps to state your address) and I oppose a private condo tower on our public oceanfront land at 1301 S. Ocean Drive."

If you want public improvements to the property or community center, but want them to find a way to do it without allowing a 30 story private condo to be built on public land, please tell them. NOW is the time to speak up and stop this terrible proposal. Thank you!

Downtown Hollywood offers on-street metered parking for $1.50 per hour, as well as municipal garage parking for $1 per hour. Municipal garage locations are: 251 S. 20th Avenue (between Harrison Street and Van Buren Street) and 251 N. 19th Avenue Municipal Garage (between Tyler Street & Polk Street).
