Thank you to those who spoke at the CRA meeting this morning. The next Citizen comments are at 5 PM on Tuesday, September 14th at City Hall, 2nd floor. Use city meetings as an opportunity to state your concerns. If this is such a great deal/great idea, then why not let residents decide? 

You must pre-register to speak, and City Hall is closed to everyone who doesn't pre-register to speak. Registration is usually not posted until the meeting agenda is posted. Hollywoodfl.org

The city, unfortunately, is sending out misleading information to residents which fails to mention the 30 story condo and also fails to mention that the city must either let the public vote or that it can be passed with a 5/7 vote by the city commission. This is not a done deal, and residents can still oppose this proposal. If the city wants to consider public/private partnerships, a condo or hotel aren't the only options. The city should ask the public what they think about the "best use" of this land. 

JOIN US outside City Hall on Sept 14 from 4:30-6:30 PM even if you can't make it inside for Citizen Comments. Gather with your Hollywood neighbors in solidarity (east side of City Hall, outside). 

If you preregister to speak: City Hall closed their usual entrance, so you must enter at the other end, near the Parking Administration building, and wait at the "Employees Only" sliding glass door for the security guard to let you in and check that your name is on the list.
