IHG is the Intercontinental Hotel Group & the parent company of Holiday Inn Express. They have been communicating with their franchisees in the impacted area to underscore the importance of accommodating guest with pets. They also made donations totaling $5,000 to Houston Petsets Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund & Rescue Bank Houston. Thank you to IHG! I appreciate that IHG has donated to Hurricane Harvey relief funds for animals but please think about how Many animals could be saved in the future if IHG Hotel Group publically allowed their guests to bring their pets in during disaster situations? IHG has a tremendous opportunity to make this right in this situation, show that they have learned from their mistakes & become a Leader in showing the meaning of true hospitality during crisis.
