This update summarizes an email from Trevor CEO Peggy Rajski (one of the folks we are calling for the resignation of).

Trevor's staff received this email on June 20th and stated the following : 

1. Peggy wanted to shed some light on some misinformation that has been circulating in online petitions.
   a. We have shared facts as we have experienced them.

2.Employees of Trevor were personally named in petitions and over Slack (our messaging program for work), and a misunderstanding of government contracts and organizational operations fueled this. 
    a.We have not once said we care or know how government contracts or org operations work; we are enraged and fighting because of how the leadership handled this process and the lack of empathy and care for employees. 

3."Upon joining the Trevor community, every staff member commits to honour and contribute to community wellness by respecting each other. We expect all employees to adhere to our policies in the handbook. Violations of our policy may result in corrective or disciplinary action up to and including termination." 
    a.Our speaking out against unjust treatment and handling of information is not in violation of any policy. Leadership is trying to scare us into being silent.

4. Working with Vibrant Emotional Health is made possible by government funding. This funding allows us to reach more contacts and create a safer, more inclusive world for young LGBTQ people. 
    a. Again we are not upset about the partnership with Vibrant; we are upset about how leadership handled this process and how there was no respect or empathy towards the 988 staff affected.

As you can see, Peggy and the rest of Trevor, 988, and Insight Global leadership ignore the issue and make us out to be uninformed about things we do not care about. They refuse to take responsibility and instead try to spread lies and scare us into being silent. 

We will not be silent.
