The Whiting Community has been impacted by the abusive behavior that has occurred at the hands of the owner of Whiting's Beggars Pizza. There has been several incidents involving the owner that have involved him being physical with former employees. One particular incident occurred during Pierogi Fest 2022. Where he put his hands on a former employee by the name of Megan. She is not allowed to currently speak on it due to it being ongoing. She has a battery case against him. She has also signed this petition. The most recent incident occured in the early morning hours of April 23 2023. The owner struck a friend Sean Carroll and is rumored to have knocked out another individual only known as "Bobby". There is video footage of moments after the incident which I have added to this petition. The youtube short is above. The man named "Bobby" has filed a police report from my understanding. Former staff and local citizens have endured enough of the abusive behavior at the hands of the owner. What is at stake is the safety of our community. You should not have to worry about your safety in and or around his establishment. The time to act is now. We can't have the owner of the establishment assaulting not only his former staff but neighbors of the restaurant as well. I would like to see him held accountable for his actions. This is humiliating that our town has a person like this running a business. I have also posted photos of the filth and unsanitary conditions in which they work. In the photos u can see a broken oven scraper placed under a handwriting station. A grill area that they cook both beef and chicken on cross contaminating your food. Not to mention hardly gets cleaned as you can see. Oily/greasy water on the floor. Able to see the reflection on the floor. One photo of the basement which needs desperate repairs. The oven will fall through the floor one day if not fixed. Another photo shows two large cylinder fryers. To the right in the photo you can see cardboard over a broken fryer. Potential fire hazard. Another photo shows an employee flipping off the camera. As well as several other health issues. Raw uncooked sausage next to uncooked pizza pizzarogies. Cross contamination yet again. On the left in the same photo on the third shelf you will see a white circular thing on a shelf. That circle thing pushes the uncooked sausage through the machine and onto your pizzas.
