As a Latina student living in a diverse city, I’ve seen firsthand how national leadership affects real lives. Words and actions from the highest office can either uplift communities or endanger them. I believe no one should be above accountability — especially those in power. That’s why I’m calling on Congress to take action.

President Trump’s tenure was rife with actions that many believe compromised the ethical standards expected of a leader. Allegations of obstruction of justice, abuse of power, and violations of the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution are among the serious concerns that have been raised.

Impeachment is not just about removing a president from office; it serves as a powerful message that no one, including the President of the United States, is above the law. By not addressing these allegations appropriately, we risk setting a dangerous precedent for future leaders.

Congress has the responsibility to uphold the Constitution and to act as a check on the executive branch. With evidence from credible investigations and testimonies, the case for impeachment must be pursued with diligence and integrity.
