Hold Oconto Wisconsin accountable for lies and corruption. Still fighting to be heard.

Please look through every detail of this petition! It will help you understand the case fully. Please help me get my case out there.

I was invited by my mother to attend a preseason game between the Packers and Eagles in August of 2017. I figured I would place an ad and get together with an older woman during my trip. Little did I know I would get involved in an entrapment case that would change my life forever.
In Oconto County, Wisconsin, the truth was twisted and justice was turned on its head. I experienced this firsthand when Oconto Judge Michael Judge uttered a blatant lie during my sentencing on March 5th of 2018, stating, "And then they met!" when there was no such meeting. This lie altered the course of my life irreparably. He needed to justify sending me to prison for 15 months and then 3 years of supervision. I was at Dodge before being transferred to Fox Lake. How did I survive prison? Others saw that my case was nonsense. I wasn't secluded in prison either. I was in general population. If I was truly guilty, I wouldn't have survived. I witnessed men who got beat up for those types of crimes who had real victims. Men who actually committed the crimes they were incarcerated for. Their Court felt that they needed to 'make an example' out of me. I placed an ad on Craigslist looking for an older woman, but yet I was still contacted and harassed by a police officer named Jamie Kuhn. I never contacted her first, but she contacted me. Even after I told her no, she still persisted and kept contacting me first. They lied in the police report stating that I tried to lure a child to my car. They also destroyed my old phone, because it contained more evidence of entrapment. After they chased me down and arrested me because I left, the three female officers pointed guns at me and brought me to an interrogation area where I was handcuffed to a table. All three of them laughed in the next room. At the jail, I was stripped of my clothing and placed in a cold isolated room for a month. For the first three days in that room, I had no blanket or pillow. I didn't have any clothing on either other than a suicide watch jacket. The room was frigid. This all started back in August of 2017. Case number is 17 CF 101. I still have my defendant's brief in my possession which details what happened on that night in August of 2017. It's 17 pages total.
Compounding this miscarriage of justice, former District Attorney Edward Burke played a pivotal role in orchestrating this false narrative. In November 2018, during a Machner hearing, my new attorney, William Gergen, revealed that the police had to 'ask for permission' to arrest me. Why? Because no crime was committed on my part. The system practiced entrapment against an innocent citizen. The judge abruptly ended the hearing after the reveal of the new evidence. He made a decision at a later date refusing to overturn my case. This was after he gave me a look in the back behind the courthouse room as if he was hiding something. They had my former attorney Todd Simon working against me too. He wasn't interested in fighting for me and he kept putting the idea of me going to prison from the get-go into my head. I felt like I had no hope. He kept trying to talk us out of going to trial as well. My case wasn't given a proper fight.
This isn't just a personal injustice. It reflects a systemic corruption plaguing Oconto County. We must address these egregious abuses of power to preserve the integrity of our legal system. It's crucial not only for those wrongfully accused and sentenced but for the entire community, which deserves truth, transparency, and justice.
We demand a thorough investigation into the misconduct by Judge Michael Judge, former DA Edward Burke, and any involved law enforcement officers. This investigation should be conducted by an independent body to ensure impartiality and accountability.
Moreover, the Oconto County judicial system must implement reforms that prioritize transparency and justice. These include rigorous oversight of legal proceedings, proper training for all involved in the judicial process, and the establishment of checks and balances to prevent future corruption.
Your signature on this petition is a demand for accountability and a stand against corruption. Together, we can make a change and ensure that justice prevails in Oconto County. Sign this petition and help us hold those in power responsible for their actions.
