Hold MP Will Stone Accountable: Demand Transparency and Answers for Fleecehold Residents

Hold MP Will Stone Accountable: Demand Transparency and Answers for Fleecehold Residents
The Issue
For over five years, residents of Abbey Farm in Swindon have been unlawfully charged and threatened by Gateway Property Management Ltd - an agent acting without legal authority and under instruction from developers Redrow Homes Ltd and Vistry Group PLC (Linden Homes) whilst those developers continue to conceal the circumstances of the appointment.
More than £300,000 has been taken from homeowners to “maintain” land that was never completed, and never lawfully handed over as required before such an appointment can be made.
In the lead up to the 2024 general election, Mr Stone pledged his support to residents as part of his campaign.
However, since being elected, he has refused to answer key public-interest questions or to challenge the actions of Redrow, Vistry, and Gateway.
Rightly, questions are now being asked - especially since those who were asking those questions (in the public interest) havefound themselves blocked from Mr Stone’s social media account. This is deemed a further attempt to avoid transparency.
Despite repeated questions being put to him, Mr Stone has:
Failed to disclose the “advice” he claims to have received that supposedly deems the scheme lawful.
Ignored documentary evidence proving that Gateway’s appointment is unlawful under the TP1 transfer deeds and Section 106 agreements.
Remains silent whilst his constituents are harassed, overcharged, and threatened with repossession by a company acting without authority.
Allegedly sought to discourage press coverage of the issue instead of standing up for residents.
This is a matter of public trust and accountability. Residents have a right to honest representation.
We, the undersigned, call on Will Stone MP (Swindon North) to:
1) Publicly disclose the legal advice he claims to have received regarding the Abbey Farm management scheme - including its author and date.
2) State clearly whether he accepts that this advice was misleading / erroneous given the attached documentary evidence clearly disproves the alleged advice.
3) Apologise to Abbey Farm residents for failing to follow through on his commitments and for disregarding clear evidence of unlawful conduct.
4) Take immediate action to challenge Redrow and Vistry and condemn their actions.
5) Reaffirm his duty to represent the people of Swindon North - not the financial interests of corporate developers.
This petition seeks only transparency and accountability from a public servant who promised to deliver both.
Abbey Farm residents, and thousands like them trapped in similar fleecehold schemes, deserve answers - not silence.
Sign this petition if you believe MPs must answer to the public they serve and to conduct themselves with transparency.
