We’ve officially reached 43,000 signatures!

It took about two weeks to cross this milestone, a little slower than usual. I’ll be honest: part of that is because I’ve been sick for much of this time, which made it harder to keep up the daily push.

But even while I was down, so many of you carried this forward by sharing, signing, and speaking out. That kept the momentum alive, and I can’t thank you enough. 💙

Every signature matters.

Every share keeps this conversation alive.

And every single one of you is part of proving that Meta cannot keep getting away with silencing users without accountability.

🌐 Rebuilding Our Website

When I launched our first website, the priority was getting something online quickly so our movement had a home base and people could find resources right away. That version worked, but it wasn’t built for the long haul.

Now, I’m rebuilding the site piece by piece, from the ground up to make it stronger, more detailed, and sustainable long-term. I’m personally:

  • Writing every section
  • Organizing and verifying every link
  • Designing each page carefully for desktop, tablet, and mobile

This approach takes more time, but it’s worth it. I want everything — especially our global legal resource hub — to be solid, easy to use, and ready to support people worldwide.

That’s why the rebuild has been slower, and why I’ve been working nearly 24/7, late nights and early mornings. My hope is to have the new site fully launched this week, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

📰 What’s New With Meta (Sept 1–16, 2025)

Here’s what Meta has been up to in just the past two weeks — and why it matters to our fight:

  • New Smart Glasses (Hypernova / Celeste)
  • Meta is preparing to launch a new $800+ pair of smart glasses with built-in digital displays.
  • ➡ Why it matters: They’re investing billions into futuristic hardware while ignoring the wrongful bans and broken appeals system hurting people right now.

  • Supply Chain Concerns with China
  • Meta is still heavily tied to Chinese supplier Goertek, despite political pressure to diversify.
  • ➡ Why it matters: Meta can make billion-dollar promises to governments, but real accountability to its users isn’t part of the plan.

  • EU Digital Services Act Fee Ruling
  • Meta won a legal challenge in Europe that forces regulators to recalculate DSA supervisory fees.
  • ➡ Why it matters: They’ll spend resources fighting regulators in court, but won’t spend those resources building fair appeals systems for ordinary users.

  • New AI Lab (TBD Lab)
  • Meta launched a new “super-intelligence” research lab focused on the next generation of AI models.
  • ➡ Why it matters: They’re chasing more AI while ignoring the real-world harm caused by their current AI systems — the very ones banning people unfairly.

  • Children’s Safety Concerns
  • A U.S. Senator challenged Meta after whistleblowers said the company pushed VR/metaverse products despite internal research showing risks to children.
  • ➡ Why it matters: If Meta ignores child safety warnings, how can we trust them to protect regular users from wrongful bans and false accusations?

  • Accidental Product Leak
  • Meta accidentally revealed details of its smart glasses ahead of schedule.
  • ➡ Why it matters: Their focus is on marketing flashy gadgets, not fixing broken systems that silence millions of people.

  • Shareholder Dividend
  • Meta declared a $0.525 per share dividend, payable at the end of September.
  • ➡ Why it matters: They have no problem rewarding shareholders, but won’t put those resources into fixing the damage they’re causing to their own users.

  • Zuckerberg at the White House
  • On Sept 4, Zuckerberg attended a White House dinner with President Trump and pledged $600 billion in U.S. investments through 2028 — though he was caught off guard and couldn’t give specifics when pressed.
  • ➡ Why it matters: Meta makes big promises to governments, but not to its users. Infrastructure spending means nothing if people continue to lose their accounts, livelihoods, and communities without due process.

🌍 Why This Matters

Meta’s platforms aren’t just apps — they’re lifelines for businesses, families, and communities worldwide.

Wrongful bans destroy incomes, erase memories, and cut people off from their networks.

The latest Meta news shows a clear pattern: Huge investments in products, profits, and PR, while the people who built these platforms — the users — are left behind.

That’s why this petition matters.

That’s why our voices matter.
