Hold Kaitlin Accountable for Rehoming Animals with Parvo, and allowing 3 other dogs to die of Parvo in her care by failing to get the dogs medical care and they suffered a whole week before they died. Then disposed of the dog bodies on the curb.
The Issue
Our call to action stems from a deeply personal and heart-breaking experience. A lady named Kaitlin rehomed animals that had contracted Parvo, a highly contagious dog virus, without disclosing this information to the new owners or the community. Indeed, this lack of transparency and deceit has resulted in the death of these dogs, a tragedy that could have been avoided. The absence of any shown remorse exacerbates the grief felt by the affected parties. More worryingly, it has come to light that Kaitlin is currently seeking more animals to bring into her home.
Parvovirus is a deadly disease, and according to the American Veterinary Medical Association, it affects one out of every 59 dogs in America. Negligence, like that exhibited by Kaitlin, is particularly disastrous given these high rates. It is crucial that potential pet owners are informed of any health issues of the animals they are considering to ensure their well-being and avoid preventable pain and loss.
We demand that Broome County hold Kaitlin personally liable for these events. Doing so would ensure justice for the deceased dogs and their grieving families, and protect future pets from similar fates. We insist that actions have consequences, and intentional concealment of facts that lead to such tragic ends should be met with full accountability.
Broome County, for the safety of your citizens and their beloved pets, we urge you to investigate this case thoroughly and ensure this tragedy isn't repeated. Please sign this petition and demand justice for these innocent lives lost due to Kaitlin's deceit.
