On August 12, 2025, three innocent people were killed on the Florida Turnpike when truck driver Harjinder Singh made an illegal U-turn in a restricted “official use only” area. This reckless decision caused a catastrophic crash, ending three lives in an instant.

Despite these devastating consequences, a petition calling for leniency for Singh has already gathered millions of signatures. While we respect the idea of compassion, we cannot allow a reckless action that cost three lives to be minimized or excused. Justice is not about popularity — it is about accountability.

We demand that Florida’s legal system uphold the charges of vehicular homicide and hold Singh fully accountable.

This case is not about politics or popularity. It is about the value of human life and the right of victims’ families to see justice served. If a driver can take three lives through reckless, illegal actions and still avoid responsibility, then no one on our roads is safe.

We call on Governor Ron DeSantis and the State Attorney for the 19th Judicial Circuit (St. Lucie County) to ensure that justice is delivered, and that the victims’ families do not see their loss erased by public campaigns for leniency.
