Petition: Request Platform Enforcement Review of “Candace” (Candace Owens) for Repeated Policy Violations
To: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Facebook, and YouTube — Trust & Safety / Policy Enforcement Teams
Cc: Advertisers and brand partners associated with “Candace” / Candace Owens
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the podcast and video series known as “Candace,” hosted by Candace Owens, be subject to the same Terms of Service and Community Guidelines standards applied to all other creators and entertainers on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Facebook, and YouTube.
This petition is not a demand for special treatment or selective enforcement. It is a request for consistent, transparent enforcement of your existing rules regarding hate, harassment, and harmful misinformation, particularly when those violations appear repeated and monetized.
Why We Are Petitioning
1) Repeated alleged Terms of Service violations without meaningful repercussions
We believe “Candace” has consistently pushed content that—based on platform rules—may constitute hate/harassment and demonstrably false claims that can cause real-world harm. We are requesting that these platforms review the show and apply enforcement where warranted.
2) Monetization and consumer deception concerns
Candace Owens sells products, memberships, and accepts donations while presenting “investigations” that, in our view, ignore corrections and science, and may rely on fabricated or altered sources/evidence. When a program profits from claims that are materially misleading, this becomes a consumer protection issue, not merely an ideological disagreement.
3) Brand safety and advertiser risk
We also ask advertisers and brand partners to reassess whether association with a show accused of dehumanizing rhetoric, fabrications, and hateful targeting aligns with their consumer brand values, safety standards, and reputation commitments.
4) Misrepresentation of conservative and Christian values
As a conservative movement, we believe the show’s alleged pattern of misrepresentation, misinformation/disinformation, obsessive targeting of families and conservative organizations, and a lack of Christian values does not align with our mission or ethical standards.
5) Long-pattern conduct concerns
We ask platforms to consider the public record and pattern of conduct we allege includes nearly two decades of scams, lawsuits, deceit, backpedaling, blatant falsehoods, and bullying—to the extent such behavior violates platform integrity policies and community standards.
What We Are Asking For (Specific Requests)
We request that Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Facebook, and YouTube:
Conduct a formal Trust & Safety review of “Candace” for repeated violations involving:
Hate or dehumanizing rhetoric
Harassment and targeted abuse
Harmful misinformation and demonstrably false claims presented as fact
Manipulated, manufactured, or materially misleading “evidence” (as alleged)
Remove episodes and clips that violate policy, and apply appropriate enforcement actions consistently.
Demonetize the show and/or remove it from recommendations where policy allows, particularly when harmful or deceptive content is used to drive engagement and revenue.
Require a clear on-screen / in-audio disclaimer (if the current format continues) stating the program is for entertainment purposes only, and that claims are not presented as verified fact.
We also ask advertisers and sponsors to:
Suspend or discontinue advertising pending the outcome of platform review, due to brand safety and consumer trust risks.
We are not requesting viewpoint suppression. We are requesting enforcement of existing rules against hate, harassment, and harmful misinformation—especially when presented as fact and used to drive monetization. Our aim is equal standards and platform integrity, not ideological policing.
