I am one of the 900 staff members at Patisserie Valerie who were fired this week with no notice. We’ve been informed we will not receive our past months wages due. The company were insistant as late as last week that our jobs and wages were safe. The owner and CEO of the company are facing no repercussions or monetary loss. Unless you’ve worked for a minimum of two years you will not receive any redundancy or wages due, we were informed to apply to The HMRC and the dept of works and pensions to claim. Unfortunately because I (3 weeks short of 2 yrs) like many others do not qualify, we will receive nothing.
